4.1 Why did my slime separate into layers?

Heat during transit can cause layering. Give it a vigorous stir with a spoon, then let it sit sealed for an hour to regain clarity.

4.2 There are crystals or beads forming—normal?

Temperature swings can cause minor crystallization of borate salts. Knead lightly; they’ll dissolve back in.

4.3 It smells off—has it gone bad?

Natural fragrances fade over time. A vinegar-like odor means microbial growth; discard the slime and sanitize the jar.

4.4 Pet ate slime—what should I do?

Most pets pass small amounts harmlessly, but contact your vet with the ingredient list if ingestion exceeds 1 tablespoon.

4.5 Slime on clothes or carpet?

Mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water, blot gently, then rinse with mild soap. Repeat until residue lifts.
